Dear colleagues,

We are inviting you to the practical Nephrology courses of the 2nd Saxonian Educational Congress for Nephrology and Pediatric Nephrology. We are honoured by granted patronage of the European Dialysis and Transplant Association (ERA-EDTA) to these continued medical education (CME) activities. Young nephrological fellows may be therefore awarded with travel grants from the ERA-EDTA.

The two courses are covering important practical aspects of day-to-day nephrological work. The ultrasound course will focus on imaging as well as functional aspects of kidneys and transplants and on measurements and imaging of dialysis access sites (fistulas and grafts). We are especially thankful to our lecturers, which are leading experts of the fields.

The biopsy course deals with practical and theoretical aspects of renal pathology including biopsy exercises in the anatomical setting (on specifically prepared human bodies) and a histopathology conference with experienced clinicians and pathologists.

Lectures are given in English or German depending on the languages of participating colleagues.

The city of Leipzig offers a huge variety of cultural and entertainment events. For information, please refer to www.leipzig.de . We would be very happy to see you in Leipzig.
