Short Description

The one day ERA-EDTA CME course is targeted to junior nephrologists, internists and researchers, who are interested in the management of patients with CKD. The key objectives are progression and prevention of CKD and following topics will be discussed in detail: 1/ CKD classification, 2/ CKD detection and epidemiology, 3/ mechanisms of progression of CKD, 4/ CKD impact on mortality and morbidity, 5/ prevention of CKD.
The course will be accompanied by the “Meet the expert” session to allow the participants to exchange knowledge in clinical practice with European leading nephrologists.
Furthermore, the CME course will be a part of the 11th Prague Postgraduate Training Course consisted of two half-day meetings with altogether four topic oriented sessions held in English with Czech leading experts in the field. Following topics will be covered: 1/ Ischemic kidney disease, 2/ Biomarkers in nephrology, 3/ Selected topics in dialysis treatment, 4/ Interactive case-report session.
