Short Description
• Up-to date from the most relevant experts on IgA nephropathy getting together from all over the world
• No parallel sessions, in order to allow the attendants  a  broad increment in knowledge about IgA nephropathy
• Free communications – oral and posters are encouraged to present new data for panel discussion
• Poster sessions with no ‘competition’ in the programme, discussion at the posters lead by senior figures. Up to 45 posters will have a short oral presentation at the podium
• Berger Prize for best free communication by investigator age < 40 years
• Typical session: one or two  keynote mini-lectures given by experts in the specific field [30 minutes max] & 3-4 related free communications
• Keynote lecturers will
• Summarise current ‘state of the art’, not just presenting their own data, but put their work in the context of the other recently published work
• Present when appropriate  in a controversy style to ensure proper review of different hypotheses on particular issues

The balance of the programme is based on the organiser’s awareness of emerging research findings. Topics with most new data, requiring analysis and discussion are favoured. More ‘static’ topics have briefer coverage or have been excluded
