The associations between CKD and short-term outcomes and the use of evidence-based therapies in patients hospitalized for acute myocardial infarction were studied in a large US registry. As shown earlier in smaller less representative studies, patients with CKD have more complications, higher mortality and receive less interventions and medications when hospitalized for acute myocardial infarction. |
