Second Renal Failure Academy

8-11 June 2004, Constanta, Romania

The courses of the Second Renal Failure Academy are scheduled in Constanta (Black Sea resort), and are addressed to nephrologists from all Eastern and South-Eastern European countries. Internationally reputed speakers will cover major topics of clinical nephrology, hypertension, dialysis and transplantation, focusing on evidence-based therapeutic options in acute and chronic renal failure.

The format will also provide interactive sessions and workshops. Participants will receive complete educational kits, including conference printouts, a CD-ROM with slides and most relevant recent papers on the topics discussed.

Most of the expenses (travel costs, accommodation, educational materials, meals) will be covered by the organizers. There is a limited number of participants. The Second Renal Failure Academy has the support of ERA-EDTA, ISN/COMGAN, Joint Action Nephrology Eastern Europe, and the Romanian Society of Nephrology.

What is the target audience for the Renal Failure Academy?

We aim to have a 40 to 50 person attendance from the following target countries: Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Bielorussia, Croatia, Cyprus, Estonia, FYR of Macedonia, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldavia, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Turkey, Yugoslavia, and Ukraine. Young nephrologists (<40 years) are especially welcomed.
