We decided to reduce the dosage of furosemide at 75 mg/day to maintain an ideal body weight of about 50 Kg. At the moment of the following clinical control (two weeks later), the patient showed a BP value of 130/80 mmHg in both recumbent and standing position, body weight was 50 kg; plasma creatinine and urea concentrations were 2.4 and 110 mg/dl; serum sodium and potassium were 140 and 4.6 mEq/L, respectively.
