Since November 2007, CDC has identified 65 confirmed or probable cases among 53 haemodialysis patients of an outbreak of acute allergic-type reactions in several states of the United States. Although its cause is unknown and remains under investigation, most reactions happened in patients who received intravenous heparin produced by Baxter Healthcare Corporation. |
