Update on previous reports with surprisingly good results: reduction of baseline immunosuppression in patients with clinical evidence of BK-virus replication, mainly viremia, resulted in the prevention of apparent BK-virus nephropathy without major complications such as increased rejection episodes. Impressive results that hopefully will be confirmed soon by other investigators. |
