A large cohort of patients (n=169) with acute pyelonephritis/urinary tract infection was statistically analyzed and potential risk factors for infection defined. Unfortunately, however, the authors do not clearly distinguish between a lower urinary tract infection and an infection additionally involving the reanal parenchyma, i.e. pyelonephritis. However, some interesting data are provided. |
