Editorial issue 289

All the 5 papers selected for this 289Th issue of NDT-E were very recently published online in NDT.
GB Piccoli  et al. first publish a paper entitled “Eco-dialysis: the financial and ecological costs of dialysis waste products: is a ‘cradle-to-cradle’ model feasible for planet-friendly haemodialysis waste management?”. Then, W Cheungpasitporn et al. publish on “Preoperative renin-angiotensin system inhibitors use linked to reduce acute kidney injury: a systematic review and meta-analysis”. Next, M.Papasotiriou  et al.  deal with “Serum and urine markers of collagen degradation reflect renal fibrosis in experimental kidney diseases”. The next paper by JB Cannata-Andia and KJ Martin KJ reviews “The challenge of controlling phosphorus in chronic kidney disease”. Finally, HJ Anders et al. discuss the latest developments in the field of “Immunity in arterial hypertension: associations or causalities“?

CME lectures   
The 3 CME lectures presented at Amsterdam Congress, and selected for this issue of NDT-E, all deal with convective RRT. Dr Francisco Maduell (Barcelona, Spain) first deals with “Defining convective clearances”. Dr Muriel PC Grooteman (Amsterdam, the Netherlands) discusses “Hemodiafiltration: high convection volumes in clinical practice”. Finally, Dr Rukshana Shroff (London, UK) discusses the “Potential advantages of convective therapies for children”.
