Editorial issue 321

The first 4 papers selected for this 321st issue of NDT-E deal with clinical aspects of nephrology. CH Liu et al first report in NDT a case control study devoted to "Suicide and chronic kidney disease". Next, again in NDT, T Shafi discuss the topic “CKD to ESRD transition: does assessment of kidney function matter ?”. The next 2 papers are from CKJ.  J Seckinger J et al report on "Morbidity, mortality and quality of life in the ageing haemodialysis population: results from the ELDERLY study". And N Janus N et al on the "Course of chronic kidney disease in French patients."
Finally C Platt and  RJ Coward , in NDT again, review "Peroxisome proliferator activating receptor-γ and the podocyte".
CME lectures   
The 5 CME lectures selected for this NDT-E issue all highlight top European experts in the field of gloerular diseases, who presented at ERA-EDTA in Vienna , may 2016. Prof. Jack F.M. Wetzels (Nijmegen, The Netherlands) starts with "Membranous nephropathy". Then, Prof. Vladimir Tesar (Prague, Czech Republic) with "ANCA-associated vasculitis",  Prof. David Jayne (Cambridge, UK) with "Lupus nephritis". Prof. Jurgen Floege (Aachen, Germany) with "IgA nephropathy".
And finally Prof. Rosanna Coppo (Turin, Italy deals with "FSGS/minimal change disease".
