Short Description

The course will include:

- genetic basis of ADPKD and ongoing studies on the influence of modifier genes

- preimplantation genetic diagnosis and its implications

- disease pathogenesis and implications for therapeutic developments

- current tools used to predict ADPKD renal progression, including genetics and new

imaging techniques

- best practice guidelines in managing the common complications of ADPKD in

children and adults

- renal replacement therapy issues in ADPKD patients

- clinical trials in ADPKD and future treatment options

- case discussions and meetings with expert faculty to discuss the diagnosis and

management of ADPKD

- discussion regarding neglected areas of research and practice in ADPKD.
