Short Description
The CME course “Glomerulonephritis and Novel Biomarkers” will address to nephrologists from all Central, Eastern and Southeastern European countries. Internationally reputed speakers will cover major topics in the pathogenesis of glomerular disease, mechanisms of progression of glomerular and tubulointerstitial injury and novel biomarkers for the diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of glomerular diseases. This course will also focus on immune mechanisms in pathogenesis and progression of renal damage in glomerular diseases and both current and potential basic and clinical research areas in glomerular diseases and how these have led or may lead to effective therapy in these disorders. It is an collaborative effort of members of the Immunonephrology Working Group (IWG) and Young Nephrologists’ Platform (YNP). This course program will enhance the communication between young nephrologists and European nephrology experts and will provide the knowledge to young nephrologists to provide the best clinical care for patients with primary glomerular diseases in everyday clinical practice. This course is designed for Nephrology fellows, IWG and YNP members interested in understanding the interaction between the basic knowledge in the structure-function relationship involved in producing human glomerular based renal pathology and the resulting clinical disease states and how our therapeutic approach are related to these processes.
