An introductory course on Epidemiology

This introductory course will provide an orientation to epidemiological research. Types of epidemiologic studies, measures of disease frequency and association and bias in epidemiologic research will be the focus of the course. The course will provide an overview of elements of data analysis including survival analysis. Hands on practical exercises by using statistical programs will be offered side to side to lectures.

Prerequisites: Basic statistics. Familiarity with computer procedures.
