This systematic review of randomized trials (n = 21 trials with 1549 patients) determining the effect of ACE-inhibitor or ARB use following kidney transplantation concludes that ACE-inhibitors or ARBs result in clinically important reductions in proteinuria, hematocrit and glomerular filtration rate. Data to determine the effect on patient or graft survival, however were not sufficient. |
